When one of our favorite, and time-honored, compact SUVs rolled off the line and into our Sterling, VA Ford dealer's showroom for the 2018 model year, needless to say, our enthusiasts here at Koons Sterling Ford were stoked. More than a few excellent upgrades had been a long time coming.

We were pleased to see a new SEL trim joining the new Ford Escape S, SE, and Titanium trims for 2018, and with its copious share of amenities and technologies to which to look forward. Escape SEL showcases the lap of luxury in leather seating appointments, and they flank an 8-inch SYNC® 3 infotainment system. This bit of the cutting-edge incorporates SYNC Connect, making integrating Escape with the FordPass App's tracking, remote locking, unlocking, and start, status check, and startup scheduling capabilities a breeze. Factor in heated exterior mirrors and signature LED lighting to cut through the thick of it with visibility you can rely on, as well as a power liftgate to simplify cargo access, and you'll find hardly any trip out of bounds for 2018 Escape.

But these aren't all. Models like Escape SE now build in front heated seats to keep things toasty on that trek, as well as roof side rails for packing a bit extra when you're full up. Plus, in Ford Escape Titanium, not only can you find the top of the trim line equipped with an energetic 2.0-liter EcoBoost® engine. It also features standard navigation, high-intensity discharge headlamps, and enhanced active park assist for sliding into your venue's premium spaces.

Of course, these improvements aren't to mention a stellar showcase of standards like AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control, a front dual-stage airbag-equipped Personal Safety System, and a helpful SOS Post-Crash Alert System. Nor will the new Escape be missing its hallmark Intelligent all-wheel drive, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, blind spot information system, cross-traffic alert or lane-keeping assist options.

We invite you to check out the new 2018 Escape line for yourself here at 46869 Harry Byrd Highway in Sterling. Once you step into the driver's seat to take your trim of choice for a spin, we're sure you'll be as floored by the new Escape as we were.
